The Ekahau Real-Time Location System is a wireless radio frequency solution that continually monitors and reports real-time locations of tracked resources. Unlike competing solutions which are based on Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) technology, Bluetooth or active RFID, and therefore require deployment of costly RF- antennas or receivers, Ekahau's patented RF modeling technology leverages standard Wi-Fi access points, so no proprietary infrastructure is needed. By using standard 802.11 access points and Wi-Fi tags, any Wi-Fi network can now work as the backbone and sensor network for a real-time location system. This quickly translates into faster deployment and improved cost-effectiveness.
Ekahau Positioning Engine 4.0 (EPE) is the only software based real-time location system in the market. Besides outperforming competing hardware based solutions, EPE is truly open and future proof location platform that can leverage any existing Wi-Fi network. Ekahaus patented positioning technology is based on signal strength calibration, which ensures the highest possible granularity. EPE is capable of pinpointing Ekahau Wi-Fi Tags, laptops, PDAs and other Wi-Fi enabled devices, with floor-, room- and door-level accuracy.

[b]Ekahau Applicaiton Suite[/b]
Ekahau Application Suite consists of sophisticated end-user applications that translate location coordinates into meaningful information. The information may be distributed via email, web browsers or SMS where it is most appropriate.
Customers may choose from twodifferent Ekahau Applications the ones that best fit their needs and preferences. While some want simply to find people and resources as conveniently as possible, others may find it essential to also store location information into databases for reporting and analyzing or to dispatch alerts on location changes. Whatever your tracking challenge may be, the Ekahau RTLS is able and willing to trace it.
[b]Ekahau Finder[/b] is a web application for querying the locations of people and assets from web browsers. The query results display the name of the area where the object is located and a view of the object on a map of the area.
[b]Ekahau Tracker[/b] is an application for tracking objects. It provides a real time view of the tracked area with selected objects, dispatch alerts based on location of objects and view location history of tracked objects.
