Proxim’s MeshMAX™ product line integrates three technologies, unlicensed WiMAX, Wi-Fi® Mesh and Wi-Fi, in one small unit! MeshMAX is a tri-radio, outdoor device offering Wi-Fi 11b/g connectivity for access, Wi-Fi mesh 11a gateway for network redundancy and a high capacity, carrier-class 5GHz WiMAX link for backhaul.

The convergence of these three technologies in one unit delivers end-to-end QoS for triple-play applications, a reduction in total cost of ownership and investment protection for future developments in WiMAX!

One can consider the MeshMAX 5054 as a combination of an AP-4000MR and an MP.11 5054-R-SUA offering a backbone link to the Base Station, local mesh backbone links and local 11b/g coverage.
