What is it?
Under that term ‘site survey’, we understand a complete on-site study allowing to forecast which wireless technology fits your needs best plus where and how the involved units need to be installed to attain optimal wireless performance. And that is of course different when you require only wireless data or if you also want wireless, voice, video or other traffic, or a combination of those technologies.
During a site survey, we use the newest hard- and software (access points, spectrum analyser, various antenna types, coverage planning software, etc.) with which we make a double coverage prediction for the surveyed area.
The site survey report
Afterwards, depending on the customer’s wishes, an in-depth or a shorter report is provided by our engineers. This report gives the customer a precise idea of the wireless unit(s) he needs, of the antenna type that guarantees the best possible performance, of the difficulties (interference by existing networks, physical limitations, etc.) that have to be taken into account, etc.
The idea behind all this is that our partner who does the integration with the end customer has an objective and reliable overview of the wireless requirements on the site involved!
