Proxim’s GigaLink Series is a series of full-duplex point-to-point wireless bridges that offers affordable, highly reliable, short and medium range outdoor links for Gigabit Ethernet (1.25 Gbps) interfaces at the 57-64 GHz unlicensed frequency band and the licensed 71-76 GHz licensed frequency band. The Gigalink systems offer the performance of fiber at a fraction of the cost. As the system can be considered as a pseudo-physical layer device, there is neither speed loss nor latency using this device. It is a true fiber extension!

Speed is everything

The Proxim Gigalink offers an unsurpassed 1.25Gbps full duplex throughput. It has thus fiber connectors for both the data as well as the SNMP connection. Moreover, this allows for long distances between the radio and customer equipment.

Fiber-to-Wireless convertor

The Gigalink is a real transparant system and must be considered as a fiber-to-wireless convertor. It doesn't even have an IP stack! This means that the system is as fast as fiber and acts as one as well.
