- Dual-radio, Tri-mode Enterprise AP

The high-end Meru Networks products are now no longer limited to indoor use. Thanks to this OAP180 rugged AP, outdoor locations or harsh indoor environments (heavy industry, etc.) can also be covered. As a part of the Meru SCALE solution with intelligent Controllers managing a network of Meru AP’s, these AP’s provide their clients with the best possible security, Voice over WLAN support and enterprise class Wi-Fi access.

- Zero-configuration design

One of the main advantages of the Meru Networks concept is that the configuration of its AP’s is reduced to little more than zero! As configuration and installation are simply plug-and-play, time and costs are cut. For, the Meru Air Traffic Control™ technology centrally configures all AP’s and eliminates the complex RF channel planning thanks to its revolutionary single channel approach.

- Multi-layered security approach

Of course, Meru decides here too to go beyond the basic wireless protections by implementing a multi-layered security approach:

- Local and RADIUS MAC filtering
- WPA(2), 802.1x and WEP
- No security info on the AP
- The AP works with Meru Controllers exclusively

The Meru E(z)RF Application Suite is a central tool reducing the complexity of the every-day network management. It allows the remote management, monitoring and troubleshooting of Meru AP’s and Controllers.
