fSONA stands for carrier-class laser products. Their products are by far best-in-class. LAser products received a bad name due to bad installations and bad products. fSONA guarantees problem-free connections up to 4km at speeds of up to 1Gbps! The multiple fully redundant, high power lasers combined with the largest receiver aperture in the industry, are the secret weapons to achieve this.
Epending on the distance and throughput needed, fSONA offers three types of lasers: the E-series, S-series and M-series. The E-series offers the highest flexibility with interchangeable interfaces but the lowest range whereas the M-series offers the highest throughput and range.
The pictures below illustrate a real installation on 400m with a 155-M. The first picture is at broad daylight and the second one is when fog limits the visibility to a couple of meters. In both scenarios, this link remains bit error free (BER = 0) !
