Woon- en zorgcentrum Sint-Jozef kiest voor volledig draadloos Meru WiFi-netwerk
Telefonie, alarmering, lokalisatie, dossierbeheer: alles via WiFi!
‘Een huis met een ziel’ is het motto van woon- en zorgcentrum Sint-Jozef in Neerpelt. Het centrum brengt dit motto in de praktijk door zorg op maat te bieden voor een brede groep ouderen. In november 2010 startte een omvangrijk renovatie- en nieuwbouwproject, dat eind 2014 zal zijn afgerond. Voor wat betreft de data- en spraakcommunicatie en het patiëntenalarmeringsysteem maakte Sint-Jozef de bewuste keus om voor de nieuwbouw een volledig draadloos netwerk te creëren. “We willen klaar zijn voor de toekomst”, zegt Jos Claes, directeur van Sint-Jozef.

UMH is going with Meru

After the University of Fucam in Mons, UMH has also chosen for Meru Networks. Many months of evaluations and visiting several reference sites of the different suppliers have preceded their choice. Especially the scalability of the solution, the attractive management platform and the security aspects were the mean reasons for choosing Meru. In the first phase, the hallways of the different faculties will be foreseen with a wireless network for giving access to the internet for students and professors.

Wireless internet access on the VUB/ULB university

In the summer of 2006, the Ministry of the Brussels-Capital Region selected Multicap and its partner Imtech Telecom to provide wireless internet access on the VUB/ULB university campus in Brussels to whoever wants to make use of it. On behalf of the Ministry, the Brussels Regional Informatics Centre (BRIC) chose our solution based on the Meru Networks technology. A total of 90 Access Points have been installed to give broadband internet access to all interested students and other visitors to the campus site.
