Sierra Wireless Aircard 880/880E
Sierra Wireless is to release two more new mobile data cards enabling mobile wireless connectivity on your laptop: the PC card Aircard® 880 and the express card Aircard® 880E. Both European versions are compatible with the new HSUPA mobile standard.
As such, they allow tri-band UMTS/HSDPA and quad-band GPRS/EDGE network access for roaming on high-speed networks worldwide.
With Sierra Wireless AirCard® modems and embedded modules operating on an HSUPA network, mobile data customers will be able to send email attachments, upload information, and transmit data from portable devices at speeds up to a theoretical maximum speed of 2.0 Mbps. As compared to the other current Aircard® models, they also support faster theoretical downloads speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps.
