Multi-Polarized Antennas
A progression from Linear to Diversity to Circular to Smart and now Multi-Polarized, Multi-Plane, Multi-Path and Multi-Purpose Antennas.
Reflected or Refracted signal seen as noise in most antennas may be the strongest signal available; certainly in near- or non-Line-of-Sight circumstances. Vertical or Horizontal polarized antennas can not use this signal because of its slant. Multi-polarized means the best signal available will be used in any condition.
Not only the multpolarized feature plays a substantial role in the quality of the antenna. Also the multplane support guarantees that the signal is in any case received as if it were intended that way.
The 'standard' omni antenna are ideal for mobile applications. There are also base station atnennas with the same characteristics. These Base Station antennas also provide an extra large side lobe for providing coverage right underneath the antenna when mounted in a mast.
The multipolarized nature makes them the ideal partner in highly reflective envirnments where one can never be certain of the polarization of the received signal.
